Collaboration Agreement

The Blue Nexus Lab brings together actors from different sectors including public administration and research to develop and test solutions for and in Limmattal under real-life conditions. To make this collaboration work smoothly and fairly, all partners have signed a collaboration agreement that describes how we work together.

A shared foundation

Our collaboration agreement covers three core areas: communication, data handling, and publication of results. It defines roles and responsibilities, sets clear rules for sharing and protecting data, as well as the procedure for publications. This common ground means that no project has to start from scratch when it comes to legal and organisational questions.

Starting a BlueX project

For each new BlueX project, we use a template form that links directly back to the collaboration agreement. This keeps things simple: the project team describes their goals, partners, and data needs in the template, and the overarching collaboration agreement takes care of the rest. This results in transparency for all involved partners and a quick start of your BlueX project.

Open to new partners

We welcome projects that bring in new partners, whether you are a research group, a company, a public body, or a local initiative. If you have an idea you would like to implement in one of the partnering municipalities, simply get in touch with us. We are looking forward to discussing your idea with you and help you find the best way to set it up within BlueX.

BlueX project teams benefit from:

  • Actor network: We connect you with relevant local actors.
  • Data and knowledge: We provide you with access to data and insights from previous and ongoing BlueX projects.
  • Sensor network (in preparation): You can use our sensor infrastructure to collect real data in Limmattal.
